My Breast Friend’s Wedding, a women’s networking and fundraising event, held at Beverly Crest Clubhouse on April 19, 2023. My Breast Friend’s Wedding is an all women’s event that supports women in our community and celebrates our life’s victories as well as life’s pains. As a breast friend myself (and a proud one at that), I’m excited to show my support for My Breast Friend’s Wedding and Go Jen Go—and hopefully make other people aware of this cause as well!
The many challenges faced by women can be hard to navigate, especially if you don’t have a network of friends who are supportive. But there’s no reason your friend group shouldn’t include other women with whom you can share in building life experiences and supporting each other through the many changes that come with parenthood, marriage, divorce, and widowhood.
People should particularly consider estate planning to ensure their loved ones will be taken care of after they’re gone. It’s not just about protecting assets; it’s also about planning for the future so that wishes are respected—and those of your family members as well!
My Breast Friend’s Wedding is an opportunity for women to gather to support one another. We may all be going through something different at the moment, but our life experiences have guided us to so many places that we can offer guidance to others, so why not celebrate together?

Who needs a bridesmaid when you can be a breast friend and support a noble cause?
My Breast Friend’s Wedding is an all-women’s event that supports women in our community who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. We want to help them continue their lives as normal as possible, and provide support when it’s needed. As a breast friend myself (and a proud one at that), I’m excited to be able to show my support for My Breast Friend’s Wedding and Go Jen Go—and hopefully make other people aware of this cause as well!
Sabrina Winters, Charlotte Estate Planning Attorney Sponsor of My Breast Friend’s Wedding fundraising event.
Sabrina Winters is a breast friend for My Breast Friend’s Wedding fundraising event. She’s also a breast friend for Go Jen Go. And she’s a breast friend for the women who face cancer every day. One of the most memorable things about being a breast friend is that you can be there for each other when you need it. Whether it’s an emergency or just a supportive phone call after a difficult time, your friends will always be there for you. You may even help someone through their life changes by sharing your experiences with them or giving advice on how to deal with the changes themselves.
It’s important to review all aspects of your estate plan so that everything stays intact when major life events occur; this includes any modifications needed based on changes in needs and desires. Estate planning is a living document; changing as your needs and desires change. Imperative documents about how you would like your family to honor certain decisions or authorize power to someone in case of an emergency, who no longer lives. In case of emergency, your wishes are now not possible, so what now?
In times of crisis, emotions do not allow us to always keep everything organized the way we had wished. Having written instruction removes the burden of the decision in the moment. In times of crisis, it’s beneficial to pick up the phone, call a breast friend, and/or consult with someone outside of yourself to reflect on your previously disclosed wishes to try to bring you clarity.
Some of the deepest, most beautiful relationships I have developed in life have come out of some of my family’s darkest times.
