With the start of a new school year, the lazy days of summer are over! As a parent, this time of the year I so hectic. Getting our kids used to a new teacher or maybe a new school. Getting up earlier and in to a routine can be daunting.
But, don’t let these important steps get lost in your to do list…which seems endless at times I’m certain.
1. Make certain that the school forms are completed for emergency contact information and allergies, if any.
2. Call your pediatrician and ask for the forms to designate a healthcare power of attorney for your child.
3. Call your Estate Planning attorney to make certain your guardian nominations are in order.
